"Barbara was able to meet with our adult son and his caregivers to assist us in planning a lifestyle eating program that would work for him. She was very compassionate in her approach and handled a sensitive subject with my son with professionalism. Her approach to lifestyle eating is thorough from a beginning interview to discussing meal choices and recommended foods and calorie intake to grocery shopping. My son was very pleased with the program Barbara established for healthier eating."
"I strongly recommend Barbara Richardson if you or a loved one has an eating disorder and requires a dietician to help overcome it. Barbara has extensive experience working with those with eating disorders and has been an integral part of the team helping our teenage daughter overcome a relapse of a restrictive eating disorder over the past 7 months. She has communicated closely with our daughter's therapist and worked with us to develop a program that has helped our daughter immensely. While Barbara is warm, kind, and sensitive in conveying what at times is difficult information, she says what needs to be said for the benefit of the patient and the patient's guardians. That is an underappreciated skill - effectively communicating information the recipient does not necessarily want to hear. At the start, we worked with Barbara weekly, but as our daughter has improved (thank you!), the sessions have become less frequent, the food plan refined to reflect her improvement and transition to more intuitive eating. We share information weekly with Barbara to be sure our daughter maintains her weight and to give updates on her eating and athletic activities and she has always been readily available if we have questions. We give Barbara our highest recommendation and deepest thanks for working closely with our daughter and us. It is not hyperbole to say that Barbara helped save her life. "
